Everyone has a great time while exercising!
Some individuals may resist exercise, for those who love it, they get it right away. The others less intrigued by the idea of exercise in their wheelchairs are lifted up in their heart and usually find themselves dancing with Hollis in celebration of the travel stories, never noticing or caring that they got exercise. Elderly and Special needs individuals often struggle with putting their hands up above their heads and with less responsibilities they don’t move their legs and bodies. Now they spend more time sitting than ever before. We all know that exercise supports a healthy lifestyle and at Let’s Dance we make it fun! Offering more cognitive individuals the opportunity to do chair dancing that includes movements adapted from world dance like Irish Step Dancing and Hawaiian Dance Moves. Exercise AND a good time – even for those with dementia!
